Description
This 60 millime stamp celebrates the forty years of struggle and success of the Néo-Destour party, founded in 1934 by Habib Bourguiba. It highlights the historic transition of the national movement, from resistance against the French protectorate to the construction of a modern and independent state. The portrait of Bourguiba, associated with an image of him on the platform, illustrates the central role of the “Supreme Combatant” in popular mobilization and the definition of Tunisian republican identity.
