Description
This issue commemorates the twentieth anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic, which occurred on July 25, 1957, marking the end of the Beylical monarchy and the advent of a modern and sovereign State. Under the aegis of the national project, these two decades were devoted to the “fight for development”, placing education, social justice and the emancipation of citizens at the heart of government priorities. The stamp thus celebrates the transition from a society in transition to a nation in full economic growth, illustrating the successes of institutional modernization and structural reforms which have shaped the face of contemporary Tunisia.
