Description
This program highlights the first artistic expressions of humanity in Tunisia, stemming from the Capsian civilization (around 7000 BC). The illustration reproduces a rock engraving of a gazelle discovered in the Gafsa region, the cradle of this culture. On a background of vertical colored bands, this stamp highlights the pioneering role of Tunisia in prehistoric art. It bears witness to a time when Capsian hunter-collectors began to transform their environment into a medium of memory and spirituality, laying the foundations of an age-old territorial identity.
