This stamp highlights Pelargonium denticulatum, better known in Tunisia under the name “Al-Anbariya”. This perennial plant, belonging to the Geraniaceae family, is distinguished by its very cut evergreen foliage, with narrow and denticulated lobes, which gives off an intense, balsamic scent when crushed. Its small flowers, generally grouped in umbels, display delicate shades ranging from pink to purple. Although native to southern Africa, it has perfectly acclimatized to the Mediterranean climate and is now an integral part of the Tunisian horticultural landscape, adorning patios and traditional gardens for its great resistance to heat.
