Description
Under the title “Valorisation of intellectual and manual work”, this stamp celebrates traditional know-how and Tunisian craftsmanship as pillars of the national economy and culture. The composition, created by the artist Héla Ben Cheikh, superimposes a hand in action with patterns of glazed pottery, carpet weaving (Klim or Margoum) and artistic metalwork. The symbolism of the hand exalts the transmission of ancestral gestures and human creativity, recalling that the Tunisian identity was forged in the material, between the refinement of the decorative arts and the dignity of manual labor.
